Artisan & Founder of Creators Nest

As a mother of two boys, I’ve experienced the challenge of being a solopreneur, an artisan selling my wares through my online store, at markets & retails stores, working within the constraints of a young family. Being new to a region, working alone predominantly, in inspiring but isolating locations, particularly since making our tree change to the Yass Valley region 8 years ago, a place that continues to attract young families to live the lifestyle that big sky country offers.

Having the desire to maintain a sense of self and identity outside of motherhood I have paved my path to earning an income while being available for my children. Having seen the need for a space like Creators Nest to enable creative women in particular, to connect with others, work along side each other and share the journey of reaching for the stars together, I decided to establish such a space.

Below gives you insight into what I’ve been doing with my time here on earth during my adulthood. You’ll notice I’ve yearned to continually learn and grow, a journey which has led me here, now living the life of an artisan, founding the Creators Nest.

Formal education aside, one of the best learning experiences will always be LIFE… experiences like travel, challenging yourself to step outside your comfort zone, involvement in community events that open your eyes to new experiences, asking those who know more than you about something, then trying it for yourself, experiencing the errors and understanding how to improve.

The power of combining of both formal and experiential education is invaluable.
